Diamond Heart Healthcare Services offers comprehensive D.O.T. workups for truck drivers, adhering to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Our licensed medical examiners, listed on the FMCSA National Registry, conduct Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations, valid for up to 24 months. In cases where monitoring is necessary, such as high blood pressure, certificates may be issued for less than 24 months. If deemed physically qualified, drivers receive a Medical Examiner's Certificate and a copy of the results.

During a DOT physical, our Certified Medical Examiners (CME) conduct vital sign checks, review medical histories, and perform hands-on examinations, covering general appearance, eyes, ears, mouth, throat, heart, lungs, chest, extremities, nervous system, hernias, and back/spine. Upon meeting requirements, drivers receive a DOT medical card, essential for retaining their CDL.

As of 2023, CMV drivers with insulin-treated diabetes mellitus or monocular vision must meet updated standards for certification, requiring completion of exemption forms at least 45 days before the exam. Additionally, we offer same-day sports physicals in Henry County, ensuring children and teens are fit for athletic participation. Book ahead for a sports physical and bring any required medical forms. Our providers conduct thorough assessments, including vitals, vision, joints, flexibility, and fitness evaluations.

Understanding medical history is crucial, especially for conditions like asthma, as it informs recommendations to prevent health issues during activities. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian present. Please note that we do not provide certificates of immunization; these should be obtained from the administering healthcare provider. Any additional lab tests or services will incur extra charges.
